Amy Brady | Costume for Stage & Screen

Amy Brady is a multifaceted creative professional with over a decade of experience in costume for stage and screen. A 2016 First Class Honours graduate of the National Film School of Ireland (IADT Dun Laoghaire), Amy has been based in London since 2018, building an extensive portfolio of over 30 screen credits.

Amy’s practice centers the artisan, rooted in the belief that the architect of an image is as powerful as the person who wears it. She explores the architecture of identity through costume, viewing it as a simultaneous expression of power and protection. A deeply personal manifestation of character. By bridging the gap between ancient, traditional crafts and contemporary technologies, Amy treats her craft not just as a profession, but as a way of life.

Her work is defined by an extraordinary level of detail and a radical devotion to technical discipline. Notable career highlights include the meticulous hand-embroidery of 780 beaded bees for Ridley Scott’s Napoleon and intricate chainmaille construction for The Last Duel.

At its core, Amy views costume as a deeply collaborative practice. She has earned a reputation for being hardworking, persistent, and bringing a positive, solution-oriented attitude to every production. This dedication ensures a consistently high standard of work that prioritises meticulous attention to detail while remaining strictly efficient with time and resources. For Amy, every stitch is an act of artistic expression and a commitment to the collective vision of the screen and stage.
